Wise or just wealthy? The college admissions scandal

Context: Parents of a number of college applicants are accused of paying more than $25 million to inflate test scores and bribe college officials to ensure their children's admission to prominent American universities (more on Wikipedia). Public outrage and a few students who didn't win a place at their dream school, signed up to a class action law suit.
